Final Report - Review of NSW Climate Change Mitigation Measures - Volume 2 - July 2009

IPART has designed an analytical framework by which it can assess current and future climate change mitigation programs in NSW. Programs must be complementary to the Federal Government’s Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) because the NSW Government has agreed that the CPRS is to be Australia’s principal means of mitigating the effects of climate change. IPART applied its analytical framework to 26 NSW mitigation programs in order to recommend those that should be retained, in whole or in part, even after the introduction of the CPRS those that should not.
