On 1 January 2007, responsibility for all metrology procedures passed to the National Electricity Market Management Company (NEMMCO).

NEMMCO consulted on its initial metrology procedure in accordance with the National Electricity Rules clause 8.9 and published an initial National Electricity Market Metrology Procedure in accordance with clause 11.5.4. For details, see the NEMMCO website: http://www.nemmco.com.au/index.html
