Gas Customers Reserve Account

After consultation with AGL Gas Networks (AGLGN), the Tribunal has re-issued its Approval relating to AGLGN's Gas Customers Reserve Account (GCRA) to allow the use of monies in the GCRA for a rebate scheme to subsidise the replacement of electric hot water heater with gas hot water heaters for current residential customers of the network. Conditions for the use of GCRA funds are specified in the Gas Supply Act 1996 Schedule 2, Clause 12.

The Tribunal has rolled all previous amendments with its current Approval issued on 28 june 2006

Guaranteed Customer Service Standards

In January 2003, the Minister for Energy requested that the Tribunal conduct a review of the Guaranteed Customer Service Standards and operating statistics reported by electricity and gas distributors/reticulators and retail suppliers, under section 9(1)(b) of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal Act 1992.
