Applications, Variations, Transfers and Cancellations

Authorisation applications

An application for a gas supplier's authorisation should be submitted in the form of a Energy Retail Supplier's Licence Application Form.
An accompanying guide has been developed to assist applicants in applying for a licence.  Please note these documents were updated on 3 January 2007

An application for a gas reticulator's authorisation should be submitted in the form of a Gas Reticulator's Authorisation Application Form.
An accompanying guide has been developed to assist applicants in applying for a licence.

To prevent delays to the application process prospective licence applicants are encouraged to contact the Tribunal prior to lodging an Energy Licence Application Form.

Authorisation applications under consideration

There are no authorisation applications currently being considered.

Variations & Transfers

The Minister may vary authorisation conditions on his or her own motion, or on application of the authorisation holder. Before taking such action the Minister is required to consult affected authorisation holders. In the case of an application to extend a distribution district, public consultation is also required. The Minister must give due consideration to any submissions received as part of this process.

There are no variations of authorisation conditions currently being considered.

Transfers of authorisations are processed in the same manner as authorisation applications.
