Abstract: From 2010, the Federal Government’s Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) will be the principal policy measure in Australia for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. IPART is conducting a review of New South Wales climate change mitigation measures to assess whether the policies will complement the CPRS. IPART is to also recommend an assessment framework to ensure that NSW Government climate change policies are efficient, effective and complement the CPRS in future.
