The Gas Supply Act 1997 allows the Tribunal to regulate retail prices for customers using less than 1TJ per year (equivalent to an annual gas bill of up to around $12,500).

Under the Gas Supply Act the Tribunal can issue gas pricing orders that establish prices or pricing mechanisms. To date, the Tribunal has decided instead to agree pricing arrangements with each of the standard suppliers (incumbent gas retailers). The reviews on this page relate to the establishment of these agreements.
