At any time the NSW Premier may ask IPART to examine issues of importance to the State. For example, at the Premier's request, IPART is currently reviewing state taxation, prices charged by the Valuer General for providing rating valuation services to local government, fees charged by the office of the Protective Commissioner, WorkCover's proposed fee structure for regulating major hazard facilities in NSW, and the regulatory framework for setting of rates and charges for Local Government services in NSW.
