IPART has been appointed as the Insurance Monitor under the Emergency Services Levy Insurance Monitor Act 2024. As Insurance Monitor, IPART will monitor insurers’ pricing and conduct during the transition from the emergency services levy to a new model for funding the State’s emergency services.
IPART has launched an investigation into the safety and reliability of transmission infrastructure supplying Broken Hill and surrounding areas.
IPART’s investigation will include Transgrid’s compliance with licence conditions and other obligations under the Electricity Supply Act 1995 and Electricity Supply (Safety and Network Management) Regulation 2014.
Second annual review of the NSW biodiversity credits market
IPART has invited people and businesses involved in the NSW biodiversity credits market to provide feedback on a series of issues related to competition, fairness and efficiency in the market.
IPART has been asked to review and make recommendations on the maximum fares for travel in taxis caught from a taxi rank or hailed from the street (“rank and hail taxi services”).
