Media Release - IPART to hold Public Workshop in Griffith for its review of the Regulatory Framework for Local Government - October 2008

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal is conducting a series of regional workshops as part of its review of the revenue framework for local government. Its first regional workshop will be held in Griffith on 8 October 2008
Tribunal member Ms Sibylle Krieger, said “IPART has been asked by the government to review the approach to setting council rates and charges in NSW. Currently the government limits the amount by which councils may increase rates each year.”
