The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales (the Tribunal) is undertaking its annual review of fares for taxi services in the state. Based on this review, it will recommend changes to these fares from 1 July 2004.
IPART is reviewing taxi fares outside Sydney and will recommend maximum fares to apply from July 2015. The release of an issues paper is the first stage of our review.
We are seeking comment on draft recommendations for the number of annual taxi licences to be released in Sydney in 2015, and the fares to apply in the Sydney metropolitan transport district from July 2015.
IPART recommends maximum fares for regular private ferry services in New South Wales under Section 9 of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal Act. IPART also determines maximum fares for the Stockton ferry under Section 11 of this act.
