The Guidelines for Water Agency Pricing Submissions has been developed to assist a water agency in preparing a submission to a pricing review.

The purpose of the Public Water Utility Audit Guideline is to provide a framework to help auditors and public water utilites to prepare and conduct operational audits of public water utilities efficiently and effectively.

In accordance with Section 31 of the Sydney Water Act, 1994 (NSW), the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales has completed the audit of Sydney Water’s compliance with the requirements of its 2010-2015 Operating Licence.

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales (IPART) has completed the audit of Hunter Water Corporation’s (Hunter Water) compliance with the requirements of its 2007 to 2012 operating licence (the licence).

IPART determines the set of supplementary performance indicators to be reported by Sydney Water and Hunter Water.

In accordance with Section 30 of the State Water Corporations Act 2004 (NSW), IPART has completed the audit of State Water Corporation’s compliance with the requirements of its 2008-2013 Operating Licence.

In accordance with Section 18B of the Hunter Water Act 1991 (NSW), IPART has completed the audit of Hunter Water’s compliance with the requirements of its 2012-2017 Operating Licence.

Successful applicants are required to execute the Technical Services and Water Licensing Audit Panel Agreement (the Panel Agreement) prior to appointment to the Panel. The Panel Agreement is the contract between IPART and a Panel member.

IPART has a role in monitoring and reporting on the performance of NSW Metropolitan Water Utilities.
