The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales (IPART) has completed the audit of Hunter Water Corporation’s (Hunter Water) compliance with the requirements of its 2007 to 2012 operating licence (the licence).

As part of IPART's water licensing function, the Tribunal is required to audit and report to the NSW Government on Hunter Water Corporation's compliance with the terms of its Operating Licence.

The Tribunal is required to report to the Minister by 31 October each year on licence compliance by water network and retail suppliers. The report is publicly released after being tabled in Parliament.
The Sydney Water Catchment Management Act 1998 requires IPART to conduct period audits of the Sydney Catchment Authority's performance against its Operating Licence.
