We've set the maximum prices WaterNSW can charge for regional and rural water services from 1 July 2026. 

Prices are set for a 4 year determination period. 

The Final Report has been published.

Launch of Aboriginal Outcomes and Impact Strategy

IPART is proud to announce the launch of our Aboriginal Outcomes and Impact Strategy. 

This marks an important milestone for IPART and reflects our ongoing commitment to embedding Aboriginal perspectives, priorities and outcomes into the way we regulate, engage and make decisions across New South Wales.

As part of the launch, we also unveiled Empowered Communities, an original artwork by proud Gomeroi Woman Caitlin Trindall.

Broken Hill region water prices now set

We've set the maximum prices Essential Water can charge for water and wastewater services in the Broken Hill region from 1 July 2026.

We've also set maximum prices that WaterNSW can charge for bulk water transportation via the Murray River to Broken Hill pipeline.

Our Final Reports including the Essential Water Customer Fact Sheet have been published.

We're reviewing the maximum prices for connecting, extending, or upgrading metropolitan water, wastewater, and recycled water services.

Interested stakeholders are welcome to provide feedback via submission by 6 July 2026.
