IPART is reviewing the maximum prices that Essential Water can charge to provide water and wastewater services in Broken Hill and surrounding areas. We are also reviewing the maximum prices that WaterNSW can charge customers for water transportation services provided by the Murray River to Broken Hill pipeline. 

We have released an issues paper outlining the key issues, and welcome feedback.

Prices for WaterNSW regional and rural bulk water

IPART is reviewing the maximum prices that WaterNSW can charge for its rural bulk water services. The prices we set in this review will apply from 1 July 2026.

You can read our discussion paper and provide feedback until 20 November 2025.
