IPART is reviewing the maximum prices that Essential Water can charge to provide water and wastewater services in Broken Hill and surrounding areas. We are also reviewing the maximum prices that WaterNSW can charge customers for water transportation services provided by the Murray River to Broken Hill pipeline. 

We have released an issues paper outlining the key issues, and welcome feedback.

IPART is reviewing the maximum prices that Central Coast Council (CCC Water) can charge to provide water, wastewater, and related services. The new prices will apply from 1 July 2026.

Our price review focuses on promoting value for money, while aiming to help water businesses remain financially viable to efficiently deliver their services. 

IPART has updated its Compliance and Enforcement Policy to ensure that it continues to effectively support IPART's regulatory objectives. We welcome any submissions on the changes from stakeholders and the public.
