True Water DTR Pty Ltd is seeking a network operator’s licence to construct and operate a temporary wastewater treatment plant to service a new residential development located in Moss Vale (the Ashbourne scheme). The site is not currently serviced by the municipal sewerage network. The proposed scheme is in the Wingecarribee Shire Council local government area.
The proposed scheme is a temporary measure until the Moss Vale Sewage Treatment Plant’s capacity is expanded. The purpose is to facilitate release of the first stage of the development, being 178 housing lots, to market ahead of municipal sewer services becoming available.
Effluent from the interim wastewater treatment plant will be dispersed via irrigation within the nominated and DA approved Effluent Dispersal Area.
IPART is seeking comments from stakeholders on the licence application.
We will consider from feedback from stakeholders and we will make a recommendation to the Minister, whether or not to grant a network operator’s licence and its conditions.
Please see our fact sheet for more information on making submissions on the WIC Act application for the Ashbourne scheme.
