IPART sets maximum prices that can be charged for metropolitan water, sewerage, stormwater and recycled water services. The Premier, the Hon Morris Iemma, MP, and the Minister for Water Utilities, the Hon Nathan Rees, MP, have recently written to the Tribunal requesting that the Tribunal make a new price determination for Sydney Water Corporation’s monopoly services. The Tribunal anticipates making a new determination of prices that will apply from 1 July 2008.
