On Monday 25 August, we held an online ratepayer workshop to discuss issues for the Tribunal to consider when setting the 2026-27 rate peg. This workshop provided an opportunity for ratepayer and community members to raise issues and have their say.

The workshop had 3 main sessions:

  1. Information session including an overview our methodology for setting the rate peg, special variations (SV) and the impact of land valuations on council rates.
  2. Opportunity for ratepayers to provide feedback on the proposed changes to the rate peg.
  3. Open forum for feedback on the rate peg and other issues This was an opportunity for ratepayers to raise any feedback or matters for discussion, particularly around setting the 2026-27 rate peg.
