Council Reference Group 2025 meetings’ communiques

As set out in the CRG Terms of Reference, the purpose of the group is to identify any practical issues or unintended consequences that might arise from the implementation of the rate peg methodology and impact communities. The CRG provides a forum to identify and address current and emergent issues.

Communiques summarising this year’s CRG meetings, along with list of members and meeting attendees, are available below:

The next CRG meeting is scheduled for 12 August 2025.

Upcoming ratepayer workshop in August 2025

We are holding an online community and ratepayer workshop where ratepayers and other stakeholders can hear about IPART’s role in setting the rate peg and how the rate peg methodology works. The workshop will be held online on Monday 25 August 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

This workshop is an opportunity for interested ratepayers and community members to ask questions and provide feedback that will inform the Tribunal when it makes its decision on the 2026-27 rate peg.

We are also asking attendees to let us know if they have any issues they’d like to raise ahead of the workshop. This will help us to prepare for the workshop.

To attend this community and ratepayer workshop, please register here.
