IPART uses Taxi Cost Indices (TCIs) to estimate how much the cost of providing taxi services has changed since our last review. In 2012 we reviewed the cost items and weightings included in the TCIs.
The main purpose of this year’s annual review is to reweight the Taxi Cost Indices (TCIs) so that it resembles the structure of costs faced by the industry as closely as possible.
This Issues Paper explains what the review involves and how we will conduct it, outlines the issues we have identified, and seeks comments from stakeholders.
